Half Day Caving

Who is this for?

Ages 8-16. Beginners and those with experience!

How does it work?

We run a mixture of morning and afternoon sessions that last 3 hours. Arrive at your booked time where our instructors will check you in, making sure that all the necessary medical consent forms are completed then parents are free to leave, returning ready for pickup at the end of the session. We then minibus from our centre to the Burlington Combe in the Mendip Hills.

What to expect?

A perfect session for beginners, and those with a little experience. Explore an underground labyrinth with lots of twists and turns, gentle and more challenging climbs and crawls. From large inviting entrances to a superman’s squeeze, Adventure underground while having fun, building confidence and seeing unique rock formations all under the illumination of nothing but your head torch.

What do I need?

Make sure to bring old comfortable fitting clothes (not jeans) you don’t mind getting damp and muddy. If you got some wellies, great bring them along, if not we have that sorted.

Where does it happen?

In the Mendip Hills, but our instructors will minibus the group from Pooles Wharf Outdoor Activity Centre, Hotwell Road, Bristol, BS8 4RU
